Sewer Hearing Notice

Notice of Public Hearing Lake of the Woods Regional Sewer District Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to obtain assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA-RD) Loan Program The Lake of the Woods Regional Sewer District will hold a public hearing at 7:00 pm local time on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Bremen Conservation Club, located at 8745 N Shore Dr, Bremen, IN 46506. The District's engineering consultants (Jones Petrie Rafinski Corp) will present the findings of the Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) Plan for the Wastewater System Improvements Project. This project will include improvements to existing Lift Station No. 5, a new sanitary force main to the Town of Bremen wastewater collection system, and the decommissioning and demolition of the existing lagoon wastewater treatment plant facility. The funding for the project has not been secured but it is anticipated to be funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA-RD). A copy of the Preliminary Engineering Report is available for public viewing at the District Office, located at 3388 East Shore Drive, Bremen, IN 46506, during their normal business hours. There will be an opportunity for questions and comments for the public at the public hearing meeting on September 23, 2025. Written comments from the public will be accepted through September 29, 2025. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged. The District requests that all attendees present their input and opinions in a respectful manner and allow other participants to voice their opinions as well.
