We just wanted to give a heads up about the upcoming weather to some lake associations that we work with. Many fish are spawning now. With the quick warm-up we’re getting, along with forecasted storms and subsequent cool down, we wouldn’t be surprised if some lakes lost some fish in the next week or so. Sometimes the spawning stress coupled with temperature stress in shallow water is too much for some of them. It’s usually nothing to be too concerned about but can understandably be worrisome for residents. We just wanted to make everyone aware that the weather conditions lend themselves to some natural die-offs.
